My book captures ambigram research (a word readable from more than one side, in my case by turning 180°).
The book was created as a bachelor thesis in the school studio GD2 FAD JEPU, 2018.
The initial task was to create a complex font by the ambigram principle, where every letter could be combined with each other and thus give rise to 1,764 characters of the Czech alphabet. However, this way was unsatisfying because some letters didn't suffice on their own. The second way was better – combination of more letters together to some kind of ligatures. However the amount of characters of Czech alphabet would increase on 3,187,548. So it would take me around 1,740 years to create an entire alphabet if I'd be able to create 5 characters per day – this way is not feasible. Therefore the book I created captures the study of creation an alphabet.
First part of the book shows my ambigram words and by swapping the rubber band (binding) on the other side shows the whole process behind the words themselves. During the development of the font I discovered how extensive can readability boundary be, so I also created a chart of characters,  so that the reader can trace the unsolved characters. I verified the readability boundary in the analysis of my characters on my surroundings.
